SETTING the STANDARD
It is the mission of SSFD to provide the highest level of emergency service to protect our community and sustain their well being, to support our personnel, and to exceed the expectations of our subscribers and patrons.
Committed to our Community
Our job is not only to respond to emergencies, but to see to the overall health and wellness of our community. That’s why we emphasize community education through Community Training Workshops as well as community resources like our smoke alarm program and free blood pressure check.
Helping those in Need
SSFD is dedicated to organizing resources and fundraising opportunities to see that those in need are taken care of. This year, SSFD donated $50,000 to the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation to provide assistance to burn victims and their families.
Become a Volunteer
Becoming a volunteer firefighter is an experience that is rewarded with both honor and valor. When you join the Southside team you not only become part of a time-honored camaraderie, but, more importantly, you take an active role in protecting the safety of your community, family and friends.
We understand Family
Our firefighters and EMS personnel understand family and they work fiercely to protect your family as they would their own. On every call, at every emergency, they arrive on scene with a commitment to ensure the safety of those you love.
